Ram Lila- a religious and cultural event was organized in collaboration with Panchanada at Ram Mandir Kohat on Saturday, October 28 2023.
The Dharmic event proceeded and began with Ganesha aarti, puja and hawan. Panchanada Hindu Youngsters participated in the re-enactment of the life of Lord Rama- the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. They portrayed the characters from Lord Rama’s childhood along with other major characters such as Devi Sita, Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Ravana, Hanumana and various others according to Shree Ramayana.
The play integrated performances with stories and events driven by the ethical values also included scenes on the marriage of Lord Rama and Devi Sita, the exile of Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshmana, the abduction of Devi Sita by Rakshasa Ravana and the battle between the good and the evil.
The local Hindu devotees and Panchanada Hindu activists on ground participated actively playing the roles, helping out in setting, arranging the costumes and up keep of the Ramlila area. Singers, musicians, kids, men, women, elderly and the youth played different parts.
After Ram Lila Langar prasad was offered to the audience and the Panchanada Hindu activists on ground distributed gifts to the widows.
